Multiple puppies were reportedly found with liquid heroin surgically placed inside their abdomens during a raid in Colombia years ago. According to U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) authorities, many of the dogs were ill as a result of the implanted drugs, and a number of them died. The vet, Andres Lopez Elorza, is believed to be responsible for this cruel scheme and has at last been apprehended and brought to the United States, where he must face justice and be severely punished if he is guilty of this heinous crime.

When DEA officials raided a makeshift veterinary clinic on a farm in Medellin, Colombia, what they discovered was nothing short of horrific. Up to a pound of liquid heroin had reportedly been stuffed inside the stomachs of several purebred puppies, while others were being prepared for surgery.

Of the ten puppies seized from the clinic, three died shortly after due to infections at the site of the hastily done operations.

After spending years in hiding in Spain, Elorza has finally been extradited to the United States, where he is being tried for attempted drug smuggling and animal cruelty. Please sign this petition to demand that this man be severely punished to the maximum extent of the law if found guilty of attempting to use these innocent puppies as drug mules.

Target: Richard Donoghue, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York

Goal: Severely punish vet accused of attempting to smuggle drugs he allegedly implanted inside the stomachs of puppies.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear U.S. Attorney Donoghue,

Andres Lopez Elorza, a veterinarian allegedly working for a Colombian drug cartel, is accused of carrying out gruesome operations on puppies, stuffing their bellies full of packets of liquid heroin. According to DEA officials at the time of the raid, the puppies were intended to be used as drug mules to smuggle the heroin into the United States. Now that Elorza has at last been extradited to the U.S., it is time that he face justice for this alleged barbaric act.

It is unthinkable that anyone would attempt to use puppies as drug couriers in such a cruel manner. We, the undersigned, demand that this vet be severely punished for causing such harm to these innocent animals and face the maximum penalty under law if found guilty of this crime.

Sincerely,
